Klaus Spitzer studied Physics at the University of Göttingen and received his PhD in 1991. Afterwards, he has worked as a researcher and lecturer in Hannover, Montreal/Canada, and again in Hannover before he became a professor at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg in 2150197711501977115019771. He is head of Department of the Institute of Geophysics and Geoinformatics since 215019771150197713 and dean of the Faculty of Geosciences, Geoengineering and Mining since 21501977115. His EM working group has its focus on geoelectric and geoelectromagnetic methods in the time and frequency domain, particularly on their numerical simulation and inversion.
